Responsibilities
- Transport students safely to and from school and school-related activities in accordance with established routes and schedules.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students while loading, unloading, and during transit.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior, and assist students with boarding and exiting as needed.
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch regarding delays or student concerns.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and school district safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with Passenger and School Bus endorsements.
- Pass a mandatory drug screen and background check.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Clean driving record (no major moving violations within the last 3-5 years).
- Ability to pass a physical examination demonstrating the physical ability to perform the duties of the job.
- Reliable, punctual, and customer-service oriented attitude.
