Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following strict schedules and traffic laws
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance compliance
- Supervise student behavior and enforce safety protocols during transit
- Assist students with boarding/exiting and accommodate special needs riders
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, incidents, and student attendance
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or willingness to obtain
- Pass background check, drug screening, and DOT physical examination
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years driving experience
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Commitment to student safety and punctuality
