Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from schools, field trips, and extracurricular activities
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness
- Follow designated routes and schedules with punctuality
- Enforce safety protocols and manage student behavior on buses
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Maintain accurate attendance and incident reports
- Adhere to federal/state transportation regulations
Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 3 years driving experience
- Pass background check and drug screening
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Patience and ability to work with children of all ages
