Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and extracurricular activities following designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Enforce bus safety rules and ensure student compliance during transit
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Manage student behavior with positive reinforcement and conflict resolution
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and district safety protocols
- Complete required documentation and incident reports promptly
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger endorsement
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience
- Clear driving record and ability to pass DOT physical
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Pass background check and fingerprint clearance
- Child CPR/First Aid certification preferred
- Previous school transportation experience a plus
