Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and field trips following DC traffic laws
- Conduct daily pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance reports
- Manage student behavior and ensure a positive, secure bus environment
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere to strict safety protocols during emergencies and severe weather
- Maintain accurate attendance and incident documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger & School Bus endorsements
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and background check
- High school diploma or equivalent
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Fluent English communication skills
