Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver products on scheduled routes throughout Virginia Beach and surrounding areas
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures for proof of service
- Inspect vehicles pre/post-trip to ensure compliance with safety standards and report maintenance needs
- Load/unload cargo efficiently using proper lifting techniques and equipment
- Provide exceptional customer service while resolving delivery inquiries in real-time
- Optimize routes using GPS technology to ensure timely deliveries and fuel efficiency
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company policies at all times
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience in route/delivery roles
- Strong knowledge of Virginia Beach roadways and regional geography
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and work in varying weather conditions
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer proficiency for route navigation and delivery documentation
- Pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
- DOT medical certification
