Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver products on designated routes within Washington DC metropolitan area
- Plan and optimize daily delivery routes using GPS technology to maximize efficiency
- Load/unload merchandise with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company safety protocols
- Assist with warehouse operations during off-peak hours as needed
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (Class B or A) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods
- Strong knowledge of Washington DC geography and traffic patterns
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Basic computer literacy for route navigation systems
- Pass background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent required
