Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods along designated routes
- Load/unload cargo with precision and adhere to safety protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Optimize routes for timely deliveries while adhering to schedules
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and resolve delivery issues
- Represent the company professionally with all customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (Class A or B) required
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and operate loading equipment
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Knowledge of New Orleans metro area geography
