Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport products to designated locations throughout New Orleans
- Plan and optimize daily routes using GPS navigation to ensure timely deliveries
- Load and unload merchandise with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures for proof of service
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Report vehicle maintenance issues and maintain cleanliness of delivery equipment
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B or A
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- Strong knowledge of New Orleans streets and surrounding areas
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while adhering to company policies
- Basic computer literacy for route planning and documentation
