Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks (24-26 ft) for local and regional deliveries within San Jose Bay Area
- Manage end-to-end logistics including loading, unloading, and timely delivery verification
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and vehicle maintenance documentation
- Optimize routes using provided GPS technology to ensure on-time performance
- Communicate proactively with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status
- Adhere to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and company service standards
- Coordinate with warehouse staff for efficient loading/unloading processes
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years box truck operation experience
- Reliable 24-26 ft box truck in excellent mechanical condition
- Strong knowledge of San Jose Bay Area roadways and traffic patterns
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Basic smartphone proficiency for GPS and communication apps
- Proof of commercial auto insurance ($1M liability minimum)
- Pass background check and drug screening
