Job Overview
As a Regional Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across the San Diego area and surrounding regions. You will play a crucial role in keeping our community supplied and our customers satisfied. We are looking for drivers who take pride in their work and safety record.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and legally in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle readiness and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and delivery documentation for all loads.
- Navigate routes efficiently, utilizing GPS and road knowledge to meet delivery deadlines.
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading and unloading interactions.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B (depending on role).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Clean driving record with no more than 3 preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional overtime if required.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
