Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Conduct experimental research on quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum circuit performance on next-generation processors
- Develop simulation frameworks for quantum systems and validate results against physical implementations
- Lead cross-functional projects integrating quantum solutions with classical computing architectures
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at leading international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development in quantum computing innovations
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of research experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithm design (Shor's, Grover's, VQE, QAOA) and quantum circuit optimization
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation tools
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and quantum information theory
- Proven track record of publishing high-impact research in quantum computing or related fields
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ) preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate complex theoretical concepts into practical implementations
