Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Collaborate with hardware teams to mitigate decoherence and error correction challenges
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for enterprise-scale problem-solving
- Publish research findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure federal grants and industry partnerships for quantum research initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development strategy
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing specialization
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant architectures
- Publication record in quantum information science or high-performance computing
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level quantum circuit optimization techniques
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex quantum concepts into business applications
- Experience with cloud-based quantum computing platforms (IBM Cloud, Amazon Braket)
- Strong analytical skills with statistical modeling and experimental design expertise
