Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction techniques to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Lead research on quantum cryptography systems for next-gen security protocols
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum processor architectures
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at international conferences
- Secure $2M+ in annual research funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates and build quantum computing curriculum for 2026 workforce
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science from Tier 1 institution
- 5+ years experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, Physical Review X)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Deep understanding of quantum complexity theory and algorithmic limitations
