Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop error correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to bridge quantum software and physical qubit implementations
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Lead cross-functional projects to integrate quantum solutions into commercial applications
- Mentor junior researchers and interns in quantum computing principles
- Secure external research funding through government and industry partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information Science with 3+ years of research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and quantum circuit design
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proven track record of publications in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (superconducting, trapped ions, photonic)
- Exceptional analytical skills and ability to communicate complex concepts
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
