Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum software integration frameworks
- Publish breakthrough research in leading scientific journals and conferences
- Secure federal and industry funding for quantum research initiatives
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists
- Develop intellectual property portfolios through patent applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing conferences (QIP, QCE)
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics and information theory
- Experience with high-performance computing and parallel processing
- Strong track record of securing research grants or industry funding
