Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Conduct experimental research on quantum hardware systems including superconducting qubits and ion traps
- Develop error correction techniques to advance quantum coherence and stability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions into real-world applications
- Publish cutting-edge research in leading scientific journals and present at international conferences
- Secure and manage research grants from government agencies and private investors
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum computing education initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Quantum Information, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum computing platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, etc.)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Quil) and algorithm development
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proven track record of peer-reviewed publications in quantum computing
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing frameworks
- Experience with machine learning frameworks and quantum machine learning applications
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced research environments
