Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography, optimization, and machine learning
- Develop error-correction protocols to enhance quantum coherence in 50+ qubit systems
- Lead cross-functional teams to translate theoretical models into scalable quantum hardware
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patents for breakthrough quantum computing methodologies
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum gate operations and circuit design
- Secure $2M+ in research grants through compelling proposals and technical roadmaps
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Published work in Nature/Science on quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Track record of securing government or industry research grants
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum computing platforms
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and computational complexity theory
