Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptography optimization and machine learning acceleration
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols using superconducting qubit systems
- Develop error-correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-classical hybrid computing systems
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and secure federal/industry funding for quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing specialization
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing architectures
- Familiarity with quantum hardware platforms (superconducting, trapped ions, photonic)
- Strong background in complex systems optimization and computational theory
- Ability to secure $1M+ in research funding annually
