Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical applications in cryptography and optimization
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum hardware-software integration protocols
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier scientific journals and industry whitepapers
- Secure $1M+ in annual research grants from government and private sector partners
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science through our university consortium
- Develop patentable quantum error correction techniques for scalable quantum systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum computing frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent peer-reviewed journals
- Proficiency in low-level programming (C++, Python) and quantum circuit design
- Demonstrated success in securing research funding or corporate partnerships
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and superconducting qubits
