Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems with 2026 commercialization targets
- Lead error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for enterprise applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum processor architectures
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals with industry impact metrics
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
- Secure $5M+ in research grants through NSF and DARPA proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information with 5+ years research experience
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature, PRL, etc.)
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor, Grover, VQE) and circuit optimization
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience with high-performance computing environments (HPC)
- Track record of translating research to commercial applications
