Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum research roadmaps targeting 2026 commercialization milestones
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing novel quantum algorithms and error-correction protocols
- Collaborate with Fortune 500 partners to identify quantum optimization opportunities
- Secure and manage $10M+ in research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Publish breakthrough findings in Nature/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor PhD researchers and patent novel quantum methodologies
- Bridge theoretical research with industrial applications in finance and healthcare
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years experience
- Proven track record publishing in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and QIS (Quantum Information Science)
- Experience leading quantum hardware-software co-design projects
- Strong background in cryptography and complexity theory
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research funding
- History of translating quantum research into commercial IP
