Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for practical commercial applications
- Manage cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and data scientists
- Secure $5M+ annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Publish breakthrough findings in Nature/Science journals
- Design fault-tolerant quantum systems operating at 1000+ qubits
- Develop IP portfolio with 20+ patents filed annually
- Shape industry standards through IEEE and ISO committees
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years hands-on experience with superconducting qubits
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum error correction
- Track record of securing government research funding
- Experience managing R&D budgets >$2M annually
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy benchmarks
