Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead a team of 8+ researchers in quantum hardware-software integration
- Secure federal and private research funding through compelling grant proposals
- Develop quantum-safe encryption protocols for enterprise applications
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers
- Collaborate with Intel, IBM, and NASA on quantum computing initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum frameworks
- Strong background in quantum error correction techniques
- Demonstrated success securing research funding ($500K+)
- Experience leading cross-disciplinary technical teams
