Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for cryptography optimization and computational acceleration
- Design scalable quantum hardware architectures operating at 100+ qubit coherence
- Drive cross-functional research initiatives with AI and materials science teams
- Secure $5M+ in federal and private research grants annually
- Mentor PhD researchers and publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually
- Translate theoretical breakthroughs into patentable commercial applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of quantum computing research with demonstrated hardware impact
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Proven track record of securing government research funding
- Publish record in Nature/Science journals or equivalent
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum frameworks
- Experience with cryogenic quantum processor integration
