Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vans and light box trucks for local and regional freight distribution.
- Execute safe and efficient loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring proper securing and weight distribution.
- Navigate complex routes using GPS systems while adhering to strict delivery schedules and time windows.
- Interact professionally with clients and customers, resolving any delivery issues with a positive attitude.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior, adhering to company appearance standards.
- Report any mechanical issues, accidents, or incidents immediately to fleet management.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or equivalent commercial vehicle operator's permit.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a logistics or delivery capacity.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Physical capability to lift, push, and pull items weighing up to 70 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong knowledge of San Antonio roadways and traffic regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric mindset.
- Current DOT Medical Card (where applicable).
