Responsibilities
- Operational Safety: Safely operate commercial motor vehicles in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all necessary shipping paperwork.
- Vehicle Care: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in optimal condition.
- Cargo Handling: Secure cargo properly and verify load weight and manifest accuracy.
- Route Planning: Follow assigned routes efficiently to meet delivery deadlines.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with shippers, receivers, and the public.
Qualifications
- Licensing: Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Background: Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
- Skills: Strong understanding of cargo securement and safety protocols.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical: Ability to lift and move cargo, as well as sit for extended periods.
