Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers on regional and over-the-road routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring weight distribution and securing loads per DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience (Class A preferred).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of DOT safety regulations and cargo securement.
- Basic computer skills for paperwork entry.
- Ability to work flexible hours and occasional weekends.
