Responsibilities
- Perform safe and timely delivery of packages, documents, and parcels to designated locations within the Omaha metro area.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers, verifying delivery details and obtaining signatures when required.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in optimal operating condition.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the delivery vehicle and company equipment at all times.
- Navigate efficiently using GPS systems and route planning software to minimize delays and fuel consumption.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while on the road.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record (no major violations within the last 3 years).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Basic computer literacy for logging deliveries and using handheld scanners.
