Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport packages and documents to residential and commercial addresses throughout Oakland and the surrounding Bay Area.
- Verify delivery addresses and ensure packages are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Obtain electronic signatures and proof of delivery to ensure accountability.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections, including checking tire pressure, fuel levels, and fluid levels before and after each shift.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior and exterior at all times.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, speed limits, and company safety policies.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and team members.
Qualifications
- Valid California Class C Driver's License (or equivalent) with a clean driving record (no DUIs or major violations in the last 3 years).
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, courier, or in a similar logistics role is preferred.
- Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver packages weighing up to 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
- Strong sense of direction and ability to navigate using GPS and map applications.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Reliable smartphone with data access for route management and communication.
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and late evenings as required by business volume.
