Key Responsibilities
As a Courier Driver for SwiftRoute Logistics, your primary goal is to ensure the safe and timely delivery of parcels and documents to our valued clients.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload packages safely and efficiently using hand trucks or dollies.
- Verify delivery addresses and obtain signatures as required.
- Ensure the vehicle is clean, fueled, and maintained according to company standards.
- Provide excellent customer service during all interactions, including face-to-face delivery and phone inquiries.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
- Accurately complete daily logs, delivery records, and mileage reports.
- Handle sensitive packages with discretion and care.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or a clean, valid standard driver's license.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in commercial driving or courier services.
- Pass a comprehensive background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
- Strong knowledge of the Chicago metropolitan area and its roadways.
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Proficient in using handheld delivery scanners and GPS navigation systems.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
