Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A vehicles safely and efficiently in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Load and unload freight accurately, ensuring cargo is secure and protected during transit.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify and report any mechanical issues.
- Deliver freight to designated locations on schedule while adhering to strict delivery windows.
- Interact professionally with customers and warehouse personnel to ensure high satisfaction levels.
- Keep the vehicle and immediate work area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable professional driving experience in a Class A vehicle.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and obtain a Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, route planning, and safe driving practices.
- Willingness to cross state lines and work in various weather conditions.
