Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks and tractor-trailers in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and cargo protection.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and keep the truck clean and organized.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols to minimize risk and prevent accidents.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required. Class B may be considered for specific routes.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 5 years.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT drug screen clear.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no serious traffic violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and substance abuse screening.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic computer skills for electronic logging and communication.
