Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van or refrigerated) over long distances while adhering to DOT regulations
- Plan and execute efficient delivery routes to meet tight schedules and maintain customer satisfaction
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections and document vehicle maintenance requirements
- Load/unload freight using proper equipment while maintaining secure cargo handling
- Utilize electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS systems for real-time route optimization
- Communicate with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding shipment status and potential delays
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and submit documentation in a timely manner
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
- Familiarity with FMCSA regulations and safety compliance protocols
- Basic knowledge of trip planning and route navigation
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends
- High school diploma or equivalent required
