Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles in all weather conditions across California.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and handling equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs.
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations, company policies, and traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and issues.
- Report mechanical issues immediately to fleet maintenance.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of California roadways, traffic laws, and weight restrictions.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle adjustments.
