Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A or Class B) while adhering to all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, verifying manifests and ensuring proper handling of freight.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) to identify and report any mechanical issues.
- Maintain accurate records using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and manage all delivery paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure on-time deliveries and resolve any route issues.
- Keep the truck cabin and cargo area clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
- Follow all traffic laws and traffic control devices to ensure the safety of yourself and others on the road.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A or Class B) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety procedures, and cargo securement.
- Excellent time management, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and reporting.
