Responsibilities
- Package Delivery: Safely pick up and deliver parcels and documents to residential and commercial clients within San Diego.
- Customer Interaction: Provide professional and friendly service, handling packages with care and ensuring the customer is satisfied with the delivery.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in excellent condition.
- Route Planning: Optimize delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals and efficient fuel usage.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, receipts, and mileage records.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- License: Valid Class C Driver's License and a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of professional driving experience preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Technology: Comfortable using handheld delivery devices and GPS navigation software.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills in English.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required.
