Responsibilities
- Transport students to and from school and school activities in a safe, timely, and orderly manner.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical and safety compliance.
- Ensure all passengers are seated and safely secured before departing.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment, including trash removal and sanitization.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, school bus safety regulations, and district policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and school officials regarding route changes or emergencies.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.
- Absolutely clean driving record with no major traffic violations or DUIs in the past 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a thorough background check, drug screen, and physical examination.
- Strong commitment to student safety and excellent behavior management skills.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to work early morning hours and occasional late afternoons.
