Responsibilities
- Safely collect and deliver medical specimens, vaccines, and sensitive materials using temperature-controlled containers
- Maintain strict chain-of-custody documentation and HIPAA compliance protocols
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS navigation to ensure timely arrivals
- Perform vehicle pre/post-trip inspections and maintain cleanliness of transport units
- Communicate professionally with healthcare staff regarding delivery status and special handling requirements
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and infection control procedures
- Resolve delivery exceptions promptly and escalate issues when necessary
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record (3+ years)
- High school diploma or equivalent; healthcare experience preferred
- Proficient in using GPS navigation and mobile tracking apps
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and maneuver in tight spaces
- Strong attention to detail with documentation and time-sensitive deliveries
- Basic knowledge of medical specimen handling and biohazard safety
- Exceptional punctuality and reliability in all assignments
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
