Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks for local deliveries and freight transport within the Jacksonville area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently using proper equipment.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and ensure all paperwork is completed correctly.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Current DOT medical card and a clean driving record (MVR).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physical stamina required to lift heavy loads and climb in and out of the cab.
- Strong time management and navigation skills.
- Previous experience in local driving is preferred but not always required.
