Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy dump trucks on various job sites, including construction zones and road maintenance areas.
- Load and unload materials (soil, rock, sand, gravel) using forklifts or skid steers.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs of hours worked and mileage driven as required by federal regulations.
- Communicate effectively with site foremen and dispatchers regarding schedule changes and route adjustments.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with necessary endorsements (Tanker, Hazmat, or Doubles/Triples preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience driving heavy dump trucks in a commercial setting.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physically fit to perform manual labor, including lifting and climbing in and out of the cab.
- Must reside in Bakersfield, CA, or be willing to commute daily.
