Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated individual to operate heavy dump trucks in various construction and material hauling environments. If you have the skills to handle heavy machinery and the attitude to drive safely, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy dump trucks to transport loose materials (sand, gravel, dirt) to and from job sites.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload materials safely, adhering to weight limits and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate driver logs (Electronic Logging Device - ELD) and daily inspection reports.
- Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and time windows.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding delivery status and potential delays.
- Keep the cab and exterior of the truck clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements (e.g., N endorsements if applicable).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating dump trucks or heavy commercial vehicles.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy items and enduring long hours on the road.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Familiarity with logbook laws and DOT compliance requirements.
