Responsibilities
- Safely transport packages to residential and commercial addresses throughout the Indianapolis metro area.
- Verify recipient signatures and maintain accurate delivery logs on handheld devices.
- Ensure the delivery vehicle remains clean, organized, and fuel-efficient.
- Utilize GPS navigation to plan the most efficient routes.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Handle customer inquiries professionally and resolve delivery issues efficiently.
- Inspect packages for damage prior to loading and report any discrepancies immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record (no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable smartphone with data connectivity for route management apps.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
