Responsibilities
- Deliver packages to residential and commercial addresses in New York City and surrounding areas in a safe and timely manner.
- Obtain and verify signatures for all deliveries to ensure proper receipt.
- Practice safe driving habits at all times and adhere to traffic laws.
- Handle package handling with care to prevent damage.
- Communicate professionally with customers and dispatch regarding delays or issues.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle.
- Process deliveries using the handheld device provided.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License (Class D) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Proficient use of smartphones and tablet devices for navigation and scanning.
- Must be available to work a minimum of 15-25 hours per week.
- Strong customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Reliable transportation to and from the depot.
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions.
