Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles on dedicated OTR routes across Nevada and surrounding states
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and delivery schedules
- Perform pre-trip inspections, basic maintenance checks, and report vehicle issues
- Coordinate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments and delivery confirmations
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logging system compliance
- Represent Silver State Transport with professionalism in customer interactions
- Support warehouse operations when not on dedicated routes (loading/unloading assistance)
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year OTR driving experience with dedicated route familiarity
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficient in electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation systems
- Strong time management skills with ability to meet tight delivery windows
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting common vehicle issues
- Flexibility for overnight trips (2-3 nights per week)
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
