Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) to transport goods across designated California routes
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route planning and delivery scheduling
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques and equipment operation
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery and pickup interactions
- Document delivery status and handle discrepancies with professionalism
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Current DOT medical certification and ability to pass random drug screenings
- Familiarity with California highway systems and local regulations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment safely
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Excellent communication abilities and customer service orientation
- Basic smartphone proficiency for electronic logging and communication
