Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Operate commercial vehicles in strict compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards.
- Maintenance: Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in optimal condition.
- Logistics: Efficiently load and unload cargo, ensuring all freight is handled with care and delivered on time.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate delivery records, bills of lading, and electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Communication: Maintain clear and constant communication with dispatch and customers regarding route changes and delivery status.
- Professionalism: Uphold a professional image at all times, representing Atlantic Coast Transport with excellence.
Qualifications
- License: Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Medical: Current DOT medical card and physical exam.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Record: Clean driving record (MVR) with no preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Screening: Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Skills: Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Availability: Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings and weekends.
