Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (box trucks or flatbeds) for local deliveries
- Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment and techniques
- Maintain accurate delivery records and route documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and defensive driving practices
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Strong knowledge of Raleigh/Durham metro area
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer literacy for delivery reporting
