Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) to transport goods within Long Beach and surrounding areas
- Maintain accurate delivery records and electronic logging system compliance
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and regulatory compliance
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization and on-time deliveries
- Handle specialized freight requiring temperature control or hazardous materials certification
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading and delivery interactions
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and DOT regulations at all times
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of local Long Beach traffic patterns and delivery zones
- DOT medical certification and current TWIC card (if required)
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD) and fleet management systems
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Background check and drug screening clearance
