Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) to transport goods safely and efficiently to designated locations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and driver's logs in accordance with federal and state laws.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and handling of materials to prevent damage.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members regarding delivery status and route changes.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
- Keep the vehicle clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Must possess a clean driving record with no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Hazmat endorsement is a plus but not required for all positions.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of local geography in the Los Angeles area.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and reporting purposes.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
